Reflection
Experience:
The typography class opened a new world for me, igniting my passion for design and font exploration. Learning how typography shapes design and delving into its historical evolution, from printing machines to modern devices, was both enjoyable and insightful.
Observations:
In this module, I've learned that typography hinges on a keen eye for detail, where even small changes affect readability and aesthetics. This extends to text formatting, an aspect often overlooked. Typography is not just about aesthetics; it involves readability and accessibility. My increased awareness since starting the module has led me to appreciate typography more deeply, understanding the intricate processes involved.
Findings:
Typography involves more than typefaces; it's about meticulous attention to details, like kerning, to ensure optimal readability. Understanding the history and evolution of typography is crucial. I'm pleased with my work in this module, putting effort into applying concepts correctly. Meaningfully, feedback sessions helped me develop good judgment, refining my skills and improving my designs.
