Task 3 / Innovative Packaging

Briefing

Progress :

We gathered as a 3 member group for this assignment that was given by the lecturer. We had to collaborate with the SBS students to create a packaging based off their product that they have made. We made a group chat on Whatsapp and began discussing on what is their product and what kind of design they wanted.

We then made a moodboard as references to use.

And for the typefaces, we decided to use Saint Regus for the brand name,  Gill Sans and Cochin for the body text.

We then began to explore on how we wanted the design to be.

We chosen this design as the final one.

So for the concept, Sip & Shine packaging design combines geometric polygonal vectors of mango and coconut. We highlight the concept of minimalism and cleanliness, using soft colour palette and clean layout to enhance the visual quality of the product. Giving a aesthetic vibe and also highlights the purity of the natural ingredients. The addition of watery elements also enhances the refreshing feeling, which fits the beauty and health positioning of the product.

After that, we had to make some merchandises for our product/brand.

Feedback :

Week 6

We contacted the SBS student, discuss their design requirements. They provided us with additional details and insights to guide our work.

Week 7

We had to make sure if they wanted either high-quality real fruit images or vector illustrations of fruits in our designs.

Week 9

Our group presented the yogurt packaging design to Miss. While progress was made, further revisions were necessary. We also consulted the Culinary Academy team regarding their preferred packaging style. They expressed a preference for highlighting one or two key fruits and using vibrant, bright colors.

Week 10

This week, we presented three different design options to Miss, featuring vector illustrations of coconuts and mangoes. After thorough review, we finalized the front design of the yogurt packaging. The next steps involve preparing a presentation slide and completing the overall packaging design.
